The Gazette is a 100% real news source. Definetly not made up stuff that is satire. Satire is inherently a destructive practice that attempts to attack an ideology, person, group, genre, etc. and does so by exposing it’s perceived flaws through irony and ridicule.

There’s also arguments for why satire is constructive and not destructive (like in how some satirists target injustices and social problems), and those can be well-meant, but the vast majority of satirical media seems to be quite cynical and pessimistic and deliver really dark messages instead of being positive and constructive. And satire of things that aren’t even harmful in real life (like satire of fictional genres and tropes) is just completely unnecessary and practically just about shitting on things other people like and being a dick about it. But like, in a socially acceptable way so they can get away with it.
